The mannequin got all dolled up today and made her debut at the shop! The hussy found my fur stole/muff and a phat pearly necklace and couldn't stop checking herself out in the mirror. It was only fitting that she hitched a ride with me (but oh, the indignity of riding face-down and nekkid in the back of my car!) on Valentine's Day. I ended up giving her a corsage to cover her critter bite; what with all the snow of late, I couldn't get out to get the right stuff for a tattoo patch (which is what I really wanted), and ended up deciding that I wanted something temporary so her new John owner could patch it as he/she sees fit. Plus, it was easier. Eh, I was tired of shoveling, and eager to get her to the shop.
It was sooo thrilling to make it up to the shop to re-foof after 3 weeks away. The shop was much more crowded than expected, and I'd sold a few big ticket (but small items) that were UNexpected. Yay! What with a bummer of a January (which is always the case, given how stingy people tend to be post-holidays), and then a snowy February thus far, I'm hoping for a big recovery. I snuck down to Snissy's booth to see what new lovelies she'd put in. She had bought some instant ancestor framed photos with the intent of embellishing and I love them:
I didn't get a chance to do any junking this weekend, which was downright painful. I'm experiencing major withdrawals, slaked only by blog-trolling for a junk fix. I tried to go to a garage/yard sale yesterday that sounded majorly junky, but there was no parking spaces anywhere nearby because of all the snow. I just might take Friday off of work so I can replenish!

those instant ancestor frames are the bomb for sure. hope your snow melts soon and you can get out on the junkin' path again.
hugs,
shelley

I hope you get to do some junking soon! It's very addictive! By the way she looks like an uptown girl!

The hussy looks hot! I feel your pain about not being able to get out on the junk trail, but I've been doing my part to take up the slack. Hit good sales two weekends in a row.

Ahh! That antique photo with the baby is WAY cool. And I'm glad to know I'm not the only one to play work hooky (hookie?) just to go vintage finding.

That pearl necklace is SOOO me - you need to get some of this stuff in your Etsy shop! The butt corsage was a great idea although I don't see how you could possibly pass up the squirrel. When you first showed those damage control pictures I wanted to just scream "the squirrel, the squirrel" - but dang it, sometimes (most of the time) my day job just gets in the way...
