I'm a big fan of dressing simply. It might not be simple to you, but it eliminates decisions for me (and makes shopping easier). 4 out of 5 days at my big-grrrl job, I'm wearing jeans and a black t-shirt/sweater. When shopping, I steer clear of pastels, bright colors, etc. and beeline for blacks, grays, browns.
When it comes to my junking uniform, I doubt you'll be surprised:
Jeans (of course), and my wardrobe of junk-theme t-shirts! Here's a whole solid week of my stash: Hoarder, Love Me Love My Junk, Vintage Geek, JUNK, Junkmaster, Vintage Couture, and Junk Posse.
In case you haven't grokked yet, I'm proud of my junky vintage hoarding.
There are other junkers who wear other uniforms (the flowing beiges of Magnolia Pearl, true vintage clothing, etc.). If we have a uniform of sorts, we have our motives.
Mine announces: Hey, dealer! I'm no tire-kicker, I'm hard-core, and I'm here to buy. As an added bonus, it tends to cut down on the chitchat.
Weirdly, female dealers tend to respond more to the "Hoarders" t-shirt; male dealers like the "JUNK" and "Vintage Geek" ones.
Oddly enough, whenever I'm wearing one of these, I rarely have to ask for a discount—I get offered one.*
*Your results may vary. Please junk responsibly.

OK I love to shop in my jeans and T-shirts but I don't have any cool one's like you do. But I'm heading online and I WILL find some to buy~

You know, I never haggle and I've been watching Market Warriors and I feel like a fool. What is WRONG with me? Any advice?

FROM SUE: I rarely haggle either. Some of us just arent comfortable doing so. My rule is I only haggle if I honestly feel its overpriced. Even then, I just ask whether that is their best price.

Sue, you are still the only one who has bought a Vintage Geek shirt from my CafePress shop! I love that you love it so much. :) Interesting that the dudes tend to respond to it more than the ladies too... I have a coffee mug and bumper sticker up in the shop also, if anyone is interested! http://www.cafepress.com/vintagegoodness

Where did you find these!? I am the laziest dresser in the land and any one of these t-shirts would surely ratchet it up a notch for me.

Ooooh, haggeling. Don't get me started. Had a couple this weekend @the Syracuse show I did that thought it was their art form to whittle the price down. Then when they got it she turned around & told me what a great price it was cause they collect this pottery & it is hard to find. Bitch, hope it broke before they got it home. I never mind when people ask politely, you expect it,just be polite, & when the dealer goes down don't ask for even lower. We need to make a living too. I would rather sell to another dealer than some customers that think it is a game. BTW Sue, I'm looking at apts. while I'm up here in Syracuse this week.

I completely missed this post the first time round, so glad you showed it again! Great wardrobe and love the DIG shirt your sis had on your other post. You two are quite the pair.

I thought I was crazy for collecting JUNKER tee shirts, but now I can consider them my "professional wardrobe." Thank you for clearing that up!
